:love To Bee. IT WORKED!!!!! I am HEALED!!! :weee
Well, I am still moveing sorta slow...but, I am in an upright position, the weather has been beautifull today...so I got outside for some fresh air, and what little sunshine I could find.
Cleaned the big coop....PEEEEUUuuu!! Smelled like warmed up chicken poo and mice turds..no more! Clean shaveings...fresh food and water...Ahhh, mission accomplished. This coops is 12 x 30, so it took a while while tripping over curious kitties, who liked chaseing the broom.
Cleaned the pigeon cage, and nest box..She was so happy, she jumped right in her little nest, and was laying an egg when I walked out!
Built a pen for a stray rooster...got him all set up, and let the reds(Rhode Island reds) out to play.
Let the ducks out, and built a shelter around thier feed area, no more wet feed! :fl
Came inside and made me some coffee....ahhhh.. I will go out in a few and lock up the coops, and ducks, gather eggs..and will be done for the day. Gonna get a shower and sit back and waite for the New Year. Im ready!

That is odd, we got a giant egg from a Buff Orpington like that today, too. It barely fits in a carton. I guess we need to eat it ourselves. Was yours a double yolker?

Haven't cracked it yet. Hubby takes eggs to work, and his boss buys them. His boss has been "whining" that he "never gets double yolkers, whats wrong with my chickens?, You need to get new chickens...blah,blah,blah" Hubby tried to explain to him that "doubles" is a rarity. I told hubby to tell him.....go buy his eggs elsewhere, I dont like the man. So, hubby wants to put that one in for his boss.
