I have been resting...sleeping...alot. My DIL brought me a pair of crutches...it helps alot to get to the potty. Here it is 3 am...my foot is killing me..I have ice on it....doesn't seem to help at all. Waiting on the pain pill to kick in, and at least take some of it away. The problem is that these pills upset my stomach.I am supposed to go back on THURSDAY for them to change the bandages. I just wish it would stop hurting!!!!

Man I have been in those shoes more often than I want to say. :hugs A least you know that the foot is going to heal. This pain is just temporary and believe it or not it is a good thing.

We had a horse several years back that stuck her leg through a barbed wire fence and severed an artery in her leg. The vet came and sewed her up and then would NOT give her any pain meds. He explained that while she is in pain she would REMEMBER NOT to move her leg and it would heal much, much faster. Sounds horrible, but six weeks later we were back to riding and SHOWING that old gal!!

That taught me a LOT about pain and it is a good thing that it did. With my current arthritis pain indicates a flare up in the psorisis inside of a joint. I have found that the LESS I move and use the joint the faster it also heals. I say that this morning with my right shoulder almost immobile. Pain pills are there so you can at least get some sleep. If you need to try eating some yogurt with them. That seems to help me. Hubby just can't understand why I choose to use as little pain meds as possible. Now you know.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that isn't a big fan of pain meds. My feeling? They treat the symptom, not the problem. I'd rather find out what's causing the pain, and get that taken care of. I will use pain meds, but not that often if I can help it.

Friday morning....3:30 am....I woke to a loud BOOM then 3 pomeranian's on me. My first thought was thunder, so I looked at the weather, nope...no clouds. Then I thought maybe...my son fell out of bed...nope, he is snoring away. I looked out the window, maybe an 18 wheeler on the highway lost a tire? Don't see anything out there. So, I have no idea what shook the windows....but I am up, my foot is throbbing...my calf is cramping...so I took another pain pill. :sick Tomorrow I have to go see the Dr, and get the bandages changed, and get the MRI read on my back. I am going to talk to the Dr about these stupid pain pills. They are not taking away the pain, but making me sick to my stomach. I have been sleeping alot, so I dont get sick...or hurt. This has to stop! I heard we had sunshine today... I MISSED IT!!!!!!! :rant NOT FAIR!!! Tomorrow morning I am going to try to wash this hair...yuk! It's driving me nuts not being able to get in the shower...washcloth baths do NOT work for me. My son has been giving me updates on the animals. My little goose is almost completely feathered out. :( I am missing her growing up. The little German Helmet pigeon is completely feathered out...and there are more turkeys hatched. I had my son bring in the Buff orp hen, that is sitting on the Turkeys. They are now comfortable in the garage. I cant get down the stairs yet...and I want to go see the poults so bad!! My son did bring up one little grey one for me to hold. :love
As for the garden...the peas are about 10 inches tall..and the beets are about 2 inches tall. I can't Waite to get in there and thin the beets. yummy, pickled beets! Hoping all the rain will stop soon so I can get out there and get more planted soon!!
My Ewe Nelly still has not lambed. I am glad, being that I wont be able to get out there and help if needed. I do hope she waits for me to heal some more.
I am going to try to get back to sleep...hope everyone is doing well!

Patience my dear ... patience. You will be all healed before you know it and out there feeling back to 100% (or at least 90%) before you know it. :hugs

Later in the summer you will be looking back on these lazy restful days and missing them!

I am sorry to hear your foot hurts so bad.

Just a thought on the pain meds. I don' know what your taking. I forgot. But my dh can't take Vicodin. It makes him sick and he feels funny. He takes Percocet(sp). Its a much stronger pain pill but does not upset his stomach.

I am sure you doc will find something for you. :hugs

My Dr started me on Oxycodone....those were not taking away the pain..and were making me sick to my stomach. Today I went back.....he gave me norco 10's? with acetaminophen. I took one about an hour and a half ago....still hurts. UGH!!
My son went out mushroom hunting again today. He was able to find 70 more Morels.! :) Those went in the freezer. :)
I wish I could go out there and look with him. Guess I will have to wait until fall, and go out looking for puffballs.
Back to laying down...Ugh, i WANT TO GET OUTSIDE!!

Been thinking about your loud boom, and may have it figured out. Do you ever have any semis near your house? I'm not sure what makes them do it, but I have heard a loud boom from them B4.

Hope your pain eases some so you can get some relief. :hugs
