On the bright side I found an ice cream maker for $6.50 at a flea market :celebrate

Which is good because I REALLY need to start using up some of this milk. We've been giving alot to the chickens. After we got the 2nd goat in milk DH finds that the perfect time to tell me that he really isn't a big milk fan....:th

SAY WHAT???!!!!

He's had an issue with cow milk for some time and I think he therefore just really started cutting it out of his diet, more than we both realized until we had a bazillion canning jars full of milk staring back at us from the fridge.

So now I need to go search some old threads for good ice cream recipes...
And I need to find some renet, and try yogurt again, and then......

That was me. I was lactose intolerant as a kid. Never had goats milk back then, but just cut out milk. Now, I eatcheese, some yogurt, make kefir, but use it in smoothies, and cream in coffee. I have never been able to start drinking milk straight up since I cut it out. On a rare occasion, I will have chocolate milk or hot cocoa. You'll have to make cheese. Or, come live next door to me. I can't find a goat in milk. The one I had my eye on is gone. My cow cant be bred till summer. Me needs some raw milk!!!!

Yea we're a roughly 3 hours from "the lake" :)

I'm sure there are some people around here that are SS minded...in fact I know there are. Because everytime I drive by slowly looking at their beautiful greenhouse thinking..."hmmm I wonder how they did that.." I get the stink eye out through the curtains.
