Oh, he'll taste delicious...even if he's the toughest old meat I've ever tasted...;)
Kala, you can hang that roo to tenderize him if you want.
Feathers on, guts out, wipe with dry cloth, no water.
Hang by his feet at 40 degrees for 5-6 days.
Then dry pluck or skin.

We use an extra fridge to do this when its warm or hot out.

Just recieved some devastating (to me) news today regarding the two little ones I talked about a little earlier. It could definetely work out really well for one of them, and it would put her where she probably should be. And if these folks really care as much as they seem to...But it would leave our hearts broken nonetheless b/c it wouldn't be here with us. So prays and good thoughts would be appreciated. I need to remember to not be selfish in this situation.

Sometimes doing the right thing is a pain in the @$$.
Thanks guys!

And yes, in this situation it will be. Not that I have much say, just very emotionally invested. I don't want to get into too many details for obvious reasons. But as of now this person has more DNA involved and seems to be a good guy who just wants the best for her. But like I said, still hard for us b/c we all really love seeing eachother, that is us and the kids! :p But he would truly be the best thing for her if it works out.
