Sounds like DD14 when me and her daddy met(she was 4 then). No worries though, by the time they reach her age, you'll also find the very pure emotion of wanting to strangle the life out of them at times and your feelings will level off a bit You'll do best to have fun and soak up the lovin now so you'll have some restrain with them later and not ACTUALLY ever strangle the life out of them You gotta love kids, and yes, we parents, are all insane...the kids drove us there They are so sweet at that age!!! Those memories will hold you over through teen years, but it is one heck of a ride!!! Well, that's my lovely parenting advice for the day LOL! Sounds like you have the bug for sure now *points and laughs knowingly*
OH...keep a DAILY diary of things they do NOW!!!! I did with DD and her sis it's an absolute HOOT to go back and read from time to time. It has saved her life more than once even The craziness of little ones is a blessing!! These ARE the fun years, so love it while you can!! Aint it great?! I miss those years TERRIBLY!!!
That rooster is dying TODAY!!!!!!!!! I have been flogged for the last time! He used to be a pretty good (i.e. NOT trying to kill me everytime I walked into the coop) but then I gently poked him with a stick one day to get him out of the food bucket he had claimed as his own after I had to sit it down quickly to go get one of the hens that had escaped the coop. Well he apparently took that as a threat to his manliness because he has had it our for me ever since then. I can't even turn my back on him without him trying to jump me. And today I was bent over trying to fill up the water buckets and he jumped at my face!!!! So today he pretty much signed his death warrant. As soon as the other meaties are big enough to process he's going with em!!!
My "Farm Dog"
I don't have the heart to tell her most of the chickens weigh more than she does
A good farm dog and a rooster whackin' stick...don't leave home without em!
Silly goaties. One of them got her head stuck trying to bust out of the pen so she could get into the chicken feed I had...so naturally the other had to "investigate"...
Heehee! One of the farms where my son has ridden in horse shows has three little farm dogs. I think they're part Rat Terrier or something. No one seems to know. Anyway, they have the BEST personalities!
