Have you ever asked your doctor about or tried the stockings that are used in the hospital post-surgery to improve circulation to the legs and prevent blood clots?
I did a long time ago but need to do that again. I think he's finally at a point where he's realizing that he needs to do something about it. 5 years ago, he still felt he was a studmuffin and didn't need any help ;).

Alpaca socks!
What are those??? Are they like wool socks but softer? He doesn't like the scratchiness on his scar area of the wool.

When I get cold I run around for a short time to get my blood flowing. Can you get one of those little bicycle peddle units where he could sit and peddle. It might improve the circulation in his feet and therefore warm them up.

The alpaca socks shouldn't be scratchy. Yes, like wool socks but softer. Also should be warmer than wool socks. The good ones cost a bit but would be worth it if they keep his feet warm.

There should be some alpaca farms around you that probably sell them.

Yep, totally forgot about alpaca. I am planning to knit some (as soon as I finish making my sock loom this week). If you can knit or crochet, you can go to hobbylobby.com and print off a 40% off coupon and go buy alpaca yarn.

Oooo! Alpaca is incredibly soft and warm! Much warmer than wool in my experience!

Cayenne pepper in his socks.
Use Dr Christophers Cayenne Rub.
My friend who has reynards disease says it works.

Alapca socks yes. But, at the same time, really start looking into ways that diet will increase the circulation.
Fermented Cod liver Oil/Butter Oil and Kombucha are good places to start.
Eliminating any vege oils if they are in the diet as well, replacing with real butter and coconut oil.

Also, daily leg and foot massages with raw coconut oil.

Bubbling Brooks, thanks for those ideas as well. I think one time you posted a link to that fermented cod liver oil, would you mind posting that again?
