Wow, Keljonma, you got rain! It keeps slipping past us by what looks be the the south. We got only a dusting of light showers yesterday.

I hated having to tiptoe around the house when my papa was working nights at Food Lion. I always hated bringing the kids to visit when I knew he had to work, I felt like I was always fussing at the kids to get them to be quiet so he could sleep. There were times that he would just stay up the whole weekend. He retired last friday!!! Woo hoo!

Update on the potluck.

I made a dish for the pot luck, but it wasn't the pea salad that you suggested. I looked at the list of what everyone was bringing and pea salad was on it twice!
I ended up bring a corn-blackeyed pea-lima bean salsa loaded with veggies topped with a lime vinaigrette and tons of cilantro. It was pricey to make.
I'll sign up more quickly next time. If I had been really, really fast I could have brought deviled eggs!

BTW, I didn't taste the pea salads that were brought because they contained meat. It looked like ham in one and bacon pieces in the other.

We got a surprise shower here too!

The WOW worship service sounds neat. I live near a lake, but I don't really know anyone living along the docking areas anymore.

I'm sorry to hear about your messed up weekend plans. My sister and BIL are coming this weekend to stay with us for my BIL's niece's graduation.
