Did you loose any tender veggies from the frost? Or, do you have any out? (other than the grape?)

We got down to 41 that night so everything is OK.

When we had a honeybee hive, I would just stand and watch them. They are so interesting. Each bee got "checked" before it would be allowed to enter the hive.

We only have 2 hummers, a male and a female. Usually we have 3-4 by now.

I don't think we have ever got our garden planted before Memorial Day. Our neighbor sometimes will not even put his in until the middle of June and he always has a TON!

We've put out most of our cold crops, but we waited until after this last frost to put out our tomatoes and peppers. We don't have everything planted yet.

I'm making a goal for this year to learn about year round gardening. I'd like to have my summer garden, a fall garden, and some cold frames for winter harvesting. We'll see how it goes.

I am doing the same size garden that I did last year. I posted pictures on my blog from when DH tilled it up yesterday.

Saw about a dozen honey bees in the farm yard this morning. A lot less than we normally see on days like today.
We have a couple of boxwoods by our walkway. They are blooming and are full of honeybees. Two years ago I was pretty concerned about the dwindling amount of honeybees here. Thankfully, it seems like they are making a comeback this year.
