Took more stuff to storage - canned goods, the bread machine, the KitchenAid, some stuff from the garage.

For dinner I had a scrumptious mock grilled cheese sandwich on 9 grain and sunflower seed bread - not an easy thing to accomplish with a toaster and a microwave as the only cooking tools. We have a grill, but no charcoal. The bread is the last of my homemade and I am savoring each bite!

I talked with Jack, the landlord of the house by QA and Becca. Since dh is working second shift this week, I told him the earliest we could get down there to do paperwork and money would be Saturday, dhs only day off this week.

He isnt sure the house is zoned for honey bees or chickens, but a garden is okay. We talked about the house, utilities. I told him we are still waiting to hear from some places up here that we inquired about. He said he has other people looking at the place. We did see a couple looking when we were there last week.

So it depends on how the answers come back from the places up here, which is dependent on God. So we haven't figured out the logistics yet..... But I guess it is a possibility that QA and Becca may be getting new "neighbors" soon.
OK, he tells EVERYONE he has other people looking...so unless he tells you he rented it, just ignore that comment from him!

The house doesn't have Scio water or sewer...it's well and septic...IF it was in town limits, it would be mandatory hook up to the public water and sewer...but it is NOT. He told us that they used to run horses down there!

The couple we saw there last week, they've looked at everyone of his rentals and haven't taken one yet.

I wasn't aware that you have beehives?? but I do know someone else in the Scio area has two hives, and it wouldn't be too difficult for me to find out for you if they would be allowed there. The chickens, I KNOW they are allowed, as he was going to help us move ours down there!

Grr...Landlords!

Sure you don't want to just pull a trailer in on our empty lot???

I don't have beehives now. That was this year's project.

My bee equipment order was completely fouled up by hard winter and heavy flooding in the midwest. I ordered my equipment in winter 2008/09. I got my bee jacket, hat/veil, smoker, hive tool in September 2009; an order I should have gotten in weeks! And my two hives were still on backorder in October, so I cancelled that order.

So this winter's plan is to order hives (from Brushy Mountain this time I think) and they would be ready for late winter/early spring set up.

Bee packages up here aren't available until early to mid May. So I'd have to find the local Beek Assoc and find out about dates for packages in your neck of the woods.

Our neck of the woods actually has a bee program, as they are trying to encourage more keepers of bees in our county. I wanted to sign up for it, but think I missed the deadline?

There are also several bee clubs.

Final Pack Up Day!! (Have I mentioned I really hate moving?!)

Everything going to storage. I will miss this internet link to my sanity. Even my personal journal is on the pc....... I guess I should of bought that laptop from a friend last year when I had the chance. :p

DH has gone over to the post office to pick up mail. Then we have a load of heavy stuff to take together and then I will be taking the last of the small stuff.

Once I got back to NE Ohio, I thought I'd never move away again..... but it appears that we will be residents of Harrison County, Ohio before the week is up. ;)

Catch ya in my new life.......
