already hot and swampy here.

i'd love to hear more about the beezwax prep. i never know how to get it melted and strained - what do i use so that whateveritis doesnt get ruined???

i have a huge lump of it - and TBM said the honey supers are extremely full - so there will be more for us. i'd love your tips if you have a second to share.

but for now - have a great market!
:)

Can you go on and put in another honey super and leave that for the bees? Since they are producing so much would that be a way to get some more to leave for them for the winter?

Yesterday it looked like some bees were carrying pollen, but we have been getting rain, so I haven't opened the hive. I placed my ear on the side of the hive, and it does not sound like colony building.
Didn't hear a lot of little hammers and saws?

we're planning to check our hive tomorrow afternoon :)

today, we listened at the hive - and they were humming like crazy and the whole thing has a honey smell to it.

just heavenly!
