My girls hate this cold and on cold days only giving me 7 eggs. Nicer days I am getting 12-14 eggs. The 50 we are getting this week should help.
I haven't wanted to go outside in this bitter cold, just dart out when necessary and right back in. I just got called back to work from my layoff and will have to brave the 5:30 am temps.

Our house gets into the 50's by morning with the fire nearly out in the woodstove. The end of my nose gets cold. I don't think we got as low as you did. It was 5 out this morning. Glad it's March.

Thanks. I haven't heard from that other job(you know) so this is very welcome.

March- I think I'll get a kite this year. I haven't flown one since I was a kid. The dog will go nuts over it, lol. Of course, it will need to get a tiny bit warmer or less windchill.

Good point. I'll take her to a park; we have an over abundance of those.

Sorry to hear about the pipe! We were afraid we might have one burst...we lost power for 2 days and it got down to 44 in the house with temps in the teens outside with over a foot of snow. Luckily it is supposed to be in the 70s this weekend!!!! Goodbye snow, hello mud!
