I just want to know if anyone has a meat grinder attachment for my old K45SS that they don't use and would sell me cheap!
haha!!!! ME FIRST!!!
I have to say tho I have a new one that I got to go with my mixer and it works rather well. I still would like an older all metal one! ;)
You know, I think my mother bought this thing new in like '90 or '91 with every attachment and blade they offered. She used it quite a lot before giving it to my sister about 10-11 years ago, complete. Then my sister beat the heck out of it, never cleaned it, never oiled/greased it, etc and lost all but one beater before giving it to me about 5-6 years ago. I'm really upset that she lost everything but it cleaned up very nicely and works like the day mom unpacked it. We absolutely love it but I still tend to do a lot of mixing by hand, I'm just old fashioned that way. My wife uses it for all her mixing. I would use it until it wore a hole through the countertop though if I had the meat grinder! I think the only thing that could stop this beast is maybe a direct hit from some sort of military ordnance. It still hasn't even needed brushes in the motor! Do they still make them this tough? I see a lot of them on the store shelves pretty cheap.

I doubt it. They don't make things to last now. After all, if they did, you wouldn't need to buy a new one every few years.

I know, my families first microwave circa 1976 still works while the one I bought 2 years ago is scrap metal already...
