Oh my 3 mos old! That must have been traumatic for you!
Wow Noobie! My dd did have surgery but they did it by entering her body through an artery in her groin. Not open heart like your little one. She was in ICU overnight and released the next day. Plus she was 4 years old and quite accustom to being in the hospital and around drs. I would have FREAKED if she was a tiny baby!!noobiechickenlady said:We already knew about the defect (God bless sonagraphers!) & that surgery would be needed one day, just not quite so soon. He wouldn't stop crying one day, and he was never like that. Always an easy baby, happy, playful & calm. He had started going into congestive heart failure when I got him to the Dr.
BBH's I think was much more traumatic. Her babygirl still has issues, too.
Me, too! I'm the patient that drives them batty by asking about 15 questions. I like your final question! The prob is that many doctors have only 10 min per patient. I choose the ones who are known for going WAY over time with their patients and bring a good book for the wait.sylvie said:Thanks for the heads up.
I'm one of those who always wants to know "why". I hate the way we aren't given information or educated by doctors and nurses unless we badger them or ask for answers after the fact.
Still, it doesn't matter how many questions I ask; I always miss the important one. Now I end with "is there another question that I should be asking you?"
