This teeth cleaning before being seen by the dentist is a real racket. It's painful and not needed unless you are a person who builds up plaque....I think its just a way to generate more money.
Teeth cleaning used to be a separate visit that was optional and most insurances paid for two a year. Now it is treated amandatory before procedures can be done.
When I went to that dental appointment, Sally, I refused the cleaning. I also refused to have it when I returned to have that tooth pulled. The hygeniest had already stated that my teeth were very well cared for, so what in the world would I need all that painful probing and gouging for?
