Hahaha!

I think we need to join OFG's official Pig Hater Club! We need shirts that say "I'm a pig hater" (sing it like, "I'm a wheel watcher!" I've been singing that little diddy all day now. :p )

It is sad, but I think I really hate my pig. :/ I've never said that about an animal before in my whole life!

I do so enjoy reading about everyone's pigs here. :gig It's SO VERY NICE to know I'm not the only one.
Mine eats like a horse... no really - I have to throw him a flake of alfalfa when I feed the horses, or he HOGS theirs (remember, I'm the one with the pig who denies being a pig)
I have a carefully choreographed system for feeding that thing: While he is busy munching his greens, I sneak in with his hog food and whatever else and I get it into his feeder, where the horses can't get to it, when he isn't looking. He isn't little anymore and although I still think he's cute, I harbor no illusions that he is cuddley & sweet. He is afterall, swine.

Yes, The Pork Chop is for food. We haven't put a weight tape around him recently, but I bet he's better than doubled in size despite the fact that he runs around like Seattle Slew. We will butcher at about 250 lbs - that's what we like to grow them to - DH has it all worked out - he says that's what is cost effective for us.

btw... 14 rounds out of how many guns to kill that pig they were talking about on BYH? Thank goodness nobody got hurt. Somebody should contact Jeff Foxworthy about that one: You might be a redneck if...

having a pig will always be a love hate relationship. I mean hate love relationship. You hate them whil they are alive, and love them when they are BACON!!!!! Deal with it. You will rejoice and the bacon will be ever so much tastier when he leaves your back yard and enters your freezer. It's all about the bacon baby!!. Dont' get discouraged!!!!!

I know right?? I'm not a gun shooter, but even I thought that was too much. Lil chicken mama said the pig was pretty well hidden and they were up to their eyeballs in weeds etc.

Frankly their aim was better than mine, I wouldn't be able to shoot a fish in a barrel.

I'm not a hunter (yet) - but common sense dictates that if I don't have a CLEAR shot, I will not take the shot. Here in Arizona, it is illegal to shoot into brush, tall grass, trees, etc... Since nobody got hurt, I guess the end justifies the means. Alls well that ends well, right? :)

Edited for spelling

The t-shirt should read, "I hate my pigs!" on the front and, "Pork Fat Rules!" on the back!
