Sorry to hear about your BIL..maybe the goats will eat him? Problem solved LOL

Your 'bator is just beautiful!!!

I'm glad things are moving along fairly well for you with the house, and I hope you are feeling a little more comfortable at church.

You guys are great! You don't know how much this forum and all of you on here mean to me. Lots of people think I'm crazy to be doing this stuff but here I'm right at home. :love

The footers are done! The mover will be delivering the deck tomorrow, the house Thursday and final setup will be done Friday, weather permitting. :fl We meet with the electric company Friday as well to determine where we will run our power from. Met with the builder for the barn today, our friend's son, at her house and got to see her.

She pretty much spent the entire month of april in ICU, because of the children we couldn't go see her....they won't let them in ICU. She had to have another vein graft in her leg, this time they took it from her right arm. She is working with a nurse at home doing PT, we helped her do her "Jane Fonda" this afternoon. She looks miserable, I think seeing the kids made her perk up a bit though, it's been a couple months since she has seen Maddie.

I took the kids' packed up toys to the church first to see if they wanted anything, then to a consignment shop (made $32, spent $10 :hide) and then took the rest to Salvation Army and donated it. I'm glad to have it out of the house.

My mom bought Tyler a 60 gallon aquarium this weekend and now we have the tree frog and the bahaman anole in there together. I got home today and went to open my closet door and the anole skittered across my foot. Dang lizard. Caught him in an empty egg carton and returned him to his cage and put a towel over the top to hopefully keep his sorry little but in there.....scared me half to death, I thought it was a mouse.

Mackay--I am so excited that our kids can live this way, I kind of did it on the weekends when I was a kid but all we ever had at my house was cats and dogs. My great-grandma had chickens, ducks, cows, pigs at one time, a mule. Fun stuff, we had a milk house and everything to play in. I have very fond memories of playing in the big two story barn as a child. I can't wait for my kids to experience it full time. They seem to be pretty excited about it. They will both have bigger rooms and bigger closets and in this house we will have a split floorplan so that will be nice for us :D

Our front deck will be 14x40 with a partially covered porch area. I can't wait to sit on the deck and watch the sunset while my goats frolic in the pasture! The only bad thing is that Chad is disappointed cause he wants a whole herd of beef cattle.....just not enough room, maybe for a few but not a whole herd.

BIL can go jump in the pond.....he's got 2 to choose from :gig

Can't help but smile; my brother had an anole that got out and was never found. We joked that when my parents sold that house 7 years ago Carlos was still prowling the basement 30 years later and probably 10 feet long. Okay, not possible but it was more fun than the reality of what most likely happened to him........ :(

That's kinda why I refuse to flush "dead" fish down the toilet. I have this fear of someday finding a whale in my septic tank. :barnie

We joke that when we flush dead fish down the toilet we are having a "burial at sea".

Well, it rained today so the deck will hopefully be here tomorrow!

I'm gonna try to copy this picture. My mom made a quilt and donated it for a raffle for relay for life. We did one last year made out of t-shirts from all the previous relays and it turned out great. She saw this pattern on the cover of Fons and Porter magazine and fell in love with it. So, here it is, hopefully.
