He is fierce honey! I posted a pic of him in that weird Lady Gaga-ish halloween costume with some HIGH heels. He has killer legs. He eats fire and can do that twirly acrobat stuff on the fabric like Cirque de Soleil. He is a sculptor and a painter too.

My favorite Alex quote is "honey, you need to back up out of my hula hoop and you SERIOUSLY need a tic tac." Said to one of his coworkers that was looking over his shoulder and reading his computer (his hula hoop is his area of appropriate personal space).

Yep....that's him. His given name is Jason but his stage name was Alexandroid van Freakenstein and everyone called him Alex so he changed it over several years ago. My parents HATE that.

His husband is a dj, VIVID, in Atlanta but he started out in the Greensboro NC area. Now he has several businesses and does some consulting work.

He's fabulous. Here is what he looks like on a normal day. This was this past xmas.

Today my baby turns 6 years old! Tyler was up at 6 this morning. Chad took off work today and was going to have a daddy day with him, take him to Toys R Us (he had his $3 off birthday club coupon) and out to lunch. They left at 7:15  Bless his heart, he was so excited. Said he wanted to eat at McDonalds....blech. Glad I'm not going with them.

He also had to go drop off our taxes to the accountant, apply for the building permit for the garage, and do some other odds and ends stuff while he was out.

I'm babysitting.....again. Problem is that no one has paid me. I hate to complain about it but I have watched this child for like 3 weeks now and not gotten a dime and now I'm supposed to watch him again this week. She showed up an hour early this morning too. Luckily I was up and tending to the critters when she got here. When I first started watching him they offered to pay me and Chad spoke up and said "You'd better not pay her."

Now he keeps bugging me to grow a set and tell them to pay me and I said, "You know, you're the one that told them not to pay me in the first place so you go cause a stir and ask them to pay me." It's family. I ought to know better. I just can't say no and I hate confrontation. I know things are tight for them but dang....I'm just tired. They paid their SIL $50 a week to watch him but that works out to like $1.65/hr. It's killing me.

On a lighter note, the patio is finally done on the front of the house. The pavers have been there since we moved in but we finally got everything framed up and leveled and put back together and it really looks good. Took us all day yesterday, though. Saturday we finished the garden beds and the gate and looked over at BIL's house and a 5ft section of shingles had peeled off his roof. Hubby was all too happy to call him and tell him the bad news

We had a birthday party Saturday night and another one yesterday afternoon. I stayed up to watch the Oscars last night and I'm pooped. My allergies are kicking in too....I feel like I just want to scrape my face off. I started taking Loratidine every day but my eyes are really bothering me.

Well, I'm gonna go catch up on everyone's journals....Happy Monday!

Happy Birthday little guy!!!! :clap

The babysitting situation is kinda rough. Perhaps you could ask them if they are having any luck finding a permanent sitter? That way they will get the hint you don't want to do it forever. Especially for free.

My youngest will be 6 in Sept.

Where does the time go?

Have a great day. Feel better with those allergies.

Happy bday to your little guy :)

I agree with Tanks, the babysitting situation sounds sticky and asking them if they have found anything permanent at least opens up a conversation and plants the seed that you are not their permanent solution.

Hope you feel better :hugs

Happy Bday!!!

My son turns 6 on March 10th! It's amazing how fast the time goes.

I agree with everyone else - ask if they've found a permanent sitter and if they start on the topic of how expensive it is, say you understand and are sensitive to their situation but it's starting to cause a little hardship on your end. If they could contribute something - a grocery store gift card, a small monetary donation, something - that would help you out.
