So here are the slides I was talking about....the big red and yellow thing that looks like a hot air balloon is the bottom of the water slide. You go down a tube and it shoots you into it where you spin willy nilly until you eventually drop into 8 ft of water at the bottom.

Here's Tyler playing with one of the water guns

Maddie going down the tube slide on the playground that is set up in like 2 ft of water, they have big rubber mats under the water at the bottom of all the slides and water spouts all over this thing, it's really cool

So glad to hear from you and know that you are ok! The waterpark at West Edmonton Mall has a slide like the one you described, all the kids call it the "toilet bowl"!

Thanks guys...sorry it took me so long to post but granny doesn't have a computer and Sunday was sooooo busy.

I just checked the bee hives by myself and my strong hive looks really good but my weak hive is ticking me off. Not much honey and pollen. I put a pollen patty in it last week and when I checked them today they had eaten most of it but i'm gonna give them until this coming weekend to finish it and then inspect the upper deep to see if it is any better. I checked some of the frames on the lower deep and they looked alright but I really want to see more pollen and honey stores for the winter.

I upped the concentration on the sugar water so maybe that will kick their little butts into gear. I also took a cute picture of my current flock of ducks and chickens....here they are....I gotta get rid of some of these ducks

I broke the lawnmower. :th :barnie :he

I decided to do some stuff around the house today...washed the dog's bedding, pulled all the weeds in the flower beds, filled in a hole in the back flower bed where the electric line went in and put mulch on it, mucked out the goat barn, and then decided that I may as well mow the pasture. Evidently I missed one of the branches that was in the grass and it got lodged in the blade. I drove it up to the garage and raised the deck up all the way and got the branch out but now the blade won't engage at all. When I pull the PTO button it just clicks. I'm hoping that I just rattled something loose and it will be an easy fix but worse case scenario I may have really screwed it up and messed up the innards to the dang thing. So much for hubby's extra money.

The good thing is that I put an ad on Craigslist for light tree work and storm clean up and my husband has been flooded with calls today. He is leaving work to go give 2 estimates today. He was supposed to guide a hunt Saturday morning but he may just let his business partners handle it and finish up some of the tree jobs he is doing.

I have a lady that is negotiating with me to buy the ducks. I'm trying to get rid of them cause they are eating me out of house and home and are competing with the chickens for feed. I have 11 right now and want to go down to 4. I told her I would sell her the two adult pairs and three ducklings for $60 so we'll see what she says. It's costing me more to keep them than to just get rid of them. Then I could at least contribute some to the lawnmower bill

I also have to print up contracts for meat birds again....gonna have to order then by the end of the month. I want to do 30 for us so worst case scenario we just have to do those 30. It would be nice if we could make enough on extra birds to pay for ours though but for that we'll need to do at least 60 total again.

I have to buy another tarp for the tractor but that won't be that bad. Maybe $20 for a heavy duty one.

I can't believe I broke the stupid lawnmower. :th

she just emailed me...she's a grandma raising her 3 grandchildren under the age of 7 so she has to talk it over with her husband and she'll let me know what she wants to do tomorrow.

I told her $25 for the older chocolate pair, $25 for the older black pair, $18 for the 3 ducklings, $45 for the two pairs together, or $60 for all 7. I think that's fair. I told her she could come pick them up now if she would pay me half and sign a contract that she would in good faith pay the rest on the 16th when her hubby got paid again. I just want them gone. I don't need 11 ducks. :p

As for the lawnmower....I'm praying it is something simple like that we need to tighten a bolt or put on a new blade or belt. :fl
