That is amazingly disgusting :D

Makes me glad I've wandered to other ways to thicken! I don't like the texture of guar gum. Xanthan has a better texture though and I'm likely to use it in an emergency still, but not often.

Hoorah for squash. My fave thickener. And cream cheese.

Oh!! That reminds me... *runs off to post a recipe question*
