North, you are so right! There really is alot to be desired up here...and you really do have to see it to believe it. There are some days that it really does get too cold...so cold that yu can't breath when you're outside...but mostly it is not that bad if you are far enough north that it is a dry cold. Never had aches up North...but when I moved further south is when I started feeing it in my bones and muscles.

Whoo hoo! A whole lot happening at the new house this week! The trim and doors are all up...the shower is being tiled as I speak...my flooring is supposed to be in today...paint is starting! I am so excited! I have the best group of contractors in town, they are helpful and wonderful to work with. Today I am going to bring them coffee and donuts

Believe it or not, the thing I miss the most about this whole homeless thing, is not having a laundry facility! Oh, I can't wait to do laundry...never thought I'd ever say that...but man, it is so much more convenient to just be able to go put a load in whenever you need to instead of carting it all over town all the time.

Please pray for my builders mother. She is very old and had a stroke two days before Christmas. She has been in the hospital since. They didn't give her much hope but she fought through it like a trooper and was doing remarkably well until yesterday...she fell off the bed and hurt herself. She doesn't speak english so she can't communicate with the nurses very well. My builder has been spending alot of time at the hospital with her but he can't be there all the time, poor guy. He is the only person she really has here, and he is so good to her! He has a great crew though that has been really covering for him well! But please pray for them. They are a wonderful family.

Today I did laundry at the laundry mat...yup, finally got up the energy to go down there and get it done...quite a social place those laundromats are...learned a whole lot of stuff I didn't know before! Like our library here gives all kinds of little course for free...including photgraphy and computer classes! Whooo hoo...gotta check into what else they have to offer.

Learned something else today... NEVER bring coffee to a construction site and pick a drill bit off the floor to stir yours with if you're a woman...they all figure you're great marriage material after that :idunno Well, not quite...but they figure I should go work there now...I'd fit right in:>) :gig They're great!

I asked the builder if he could clear me a field in the area somewhere for cows or goats or something...he said he'd get right on it :love I love that guy:>)

Having a great day...gosh I gotta get out more often!

I think the only reason hubby married me was my ability to lift heavy objects :gig

Oh I soo hear you there! Mine used to get me to help him load his snowmachine onto the back of his pickup...until the last five years when I finally said enough, no more...it was starting to hurt!

My hubby knew better than to ask me that. My sil, however, was shocked that I didnt' load the snowmachine myself.

My hubby married me for other attributes. ;)

Friday is moving day! I have a very busy week ahead and am anxious to get started! I am soooo beging to get anxious for spring! Get started on figuring out how exactly we are going to harness that spring on our property...put in vegetable gardens, build a garden shed with a small henhouse incorperated into one end of it with a seperate door...and maybe some kind of yard but not sure how to go about the yard part of it and keep things low key. Our neighborhood has alot of huge snobs in it and I am sure they will have alot to say about having a farm next door! Alot of police officers in the neighborhood too, one of them being the type to cause alot of trouble...so I am going to try it, buit very strictly under wraps...and hopefully they are too stupid to know that all the clucking is coming from a shed in my backyard.
I do know how to fight it though if it goes that far...take my chickens away and I will get pigeons...perfectly legal and a terribly messy bird that will poop on everybodies roofs and windowsills...haha! And pigeons are perfectly legal to keep. I hope iot doesn't come to that cause I personally HATE pigeons...but they are a good weapon:>) :gig :gig

Apple trees are on the agenda, and i will see if I can find a good hardy pear variety as well. Ahhh, spring! Please come soon!

Ohhhh, it has been a very long haul! Especially for someone whi is used to being busy crafting and cooking and baking all the time! I can't do any of it here...there's no room...my kitchen counter top is no bigger than a large cutting board, cooking is a real chore in this place:>) Soon though...oh and I will post pics! Looking so forward to landscaping from scratch!
