Summer is quickly winding down here, much needed rain today. The house has come a long way. We have done so much porcelin tile that I don't want to see the stuff again for a long time! LOL! Made melt and pour soap the other day since I don't really have the nerve to work with lye. I loved making this stuff though, and it is so pretty with alot of scent. This is what I am making family and friends for Christmas this year.

Had a great day gardening with my grandaughter the other day as well, and took pictures. She is truly my princess!

Good to see you. Your grand baby is growing so fast. Not much going on around here. Everyone is pretty busy with summer. Good to hear the house is coming along. Now you can add Tile Setter to your resume. ;)

Stop in again soon.

Been a while since I've written in this journal...figured I'd catch you all up to the happenings around here. :) My gardens haven't started yet, but soon I will be making boxes and playing in dirt. Until the weather gets nicer I am working with my chickens and rabbits. I decided it is senseless for me to go ith meat rabbits again...I can never kill them and use them for meat anyway, they are too darn cute...so I have decided to play around with the pet variety instead and have purchased some lionheads. They are too cute! And they will stay small so Lolaa can play with them.

I have hatched out alot of eggs this year and sold chicks...barred rocks, buff and partridge chanteclers, and I am still playing around with breeds. I have a mixed flock of layers that should be starting to lay anytime.

We have a brand new addition to our family...a baby girl. grandaughter number two! She is so tiny and cute! And Lolaa, while going thru some adjusting, loves her like crazy:)
She was born April 25 and Lolaa celebrated her 3rd birthday just two days later

I don't think I could raise meat rabbits either. They're too cute and I've had rabbits for pets for most of my life. Granddaughters are cute.
