How about running from a fat arse?

My hubby used to say 'I am running from the fat man in the mirror'

Edited to add.....the down side of actually exercising outside is that I got sweaty and stung by some sort of bug

Woo hoo, you go girl! Ya know, interval training is actually really good for you, run/walk/run/walk.
Oh and you didn't get sweaty, you glistened, it sounds better ;)

Still doing basic calisthenics & weight lifting, I'm boring. I'm at a plateau on my weight lifting, I think. No improvement recently, but I've run out of weights to add (handweights, not a bench). Only doing 20 lbs. max, but lots of quick, focused reps. Thinking about a pullup bar, that would add some weight to what I'm lifting for sure :p

Anybody have any cheap weight suggestions?

I heard an exercise for older people to do at home. you start with a 5 lb potato bag, one in each hand. do curls with those. when good, move up to 10 lb bags, 20 lb bags, then 50lb bags. When you can master those, go back to the 5 lb bags and actually put potatoes in them. :D

I'm still walking the hills almost everyday. Probably averaging about 3 miles per day lately.

I've also been working on the yard and fencing etc around here. My yard is shaped like a big bowl so I get a ton of up and down hillin'. :p

Abi you are not old enough to have a 20 yr old back injury!

Sounds like you are happy in your new home!

Nice job everyone!
With this rain I had to be content with 40 minutes of Wii Fit. Not complaining since it's actually fun. And I'm getting better at it. My big accomplishment today was fitting it into a hectic day instead of making an excuse.
Cub Scouts are going on a 4 mile hike on 4/11. I'm hoping not to embarrass myself!
