Didn't stop. Just drove by. I did see a place on the north side of the road that I thought might be for maple sugaring. It looked like a cinder block building with a stainless steel tank on the outside of the building.

I love my job for many reasons and I get a blessing each day in some way or another....but the very BEST days are when I get to drive way out into the countryside and see thousands of scenes like this one and actually have the time to stop and snap a pic.

One day I came upon an old barn way out a dirt road with no close houses. On the barn, facing the early morning sun, was about 25 vultures with their wings spread wide to the sun....for all the world like sun-worshippers of old with arms spread to Baal!

It was one of those scenes you never forget. The same day I saw a bald eagle flying low, so close I could see his eyes.

I get to see mountain valley farms so beautiful it makes your heart ache and such colors, textures and scenes of incredible soulfulness everywhere I go. I wish my job was just to drive around and photograph these things but, for now, I'm just glad my job takes me there.
Any openings?!
