went to the beach for 5 days

had a blast, hot hot but great weather

Tony caught a bunch of fish but his best was a 4 ft black tip shark
he had a ball fighting that shark lol

but I used my metal detector and found ----boom boommmmmm----$1.89 in change WHOOPEE and alot of trash and a kids toe ring (real cute) that I gave to Nicole of course

But I chatted with a guy hunting also and he said he was down a few months ago and scored ---get this---a diamond gold ring valued at $4000 WOW WOW WOW he said his wife was in heaven after he brought that home from the apraiser....woof man!!

had a blast metal detecting though I am truly learning my ring tones and beeps it means a big deal and I finally can tell the trash from the treasures now make me more efficient I hope lol

I am starting to love this metal detecting.

My change score was all in one spot someone must have rolled over and change fell from their short pocket or a small change purse or something, but to hit that all in one spot made me feel like I hit the spanish gold LOL

oh well....more metal adventures to come for me, I sure do enjoy the chase of finding something cool

just rambling

That's awesome that you're having fun with it! Even if you didn't find something worth tons of money, there is no price on the memories of a family vacation!

I have a little promise ring my Uncle Bunny found, we used to bring the metal detector to the coast in England all the time =] My little ring is positively ancient, its set with 3 amethyst and has a mark from Birmingham on it that dates back to something like 1810.

thanks all

LOL my metal detector reports haha that is what they seem like lol

I chatted with a relic hunter on the beach. He pittles with beach combing when on vaca but he is mainly a civil war buff and attends all those giant war parties....where the private landowner opens their lands for digging. He hit all types of things, his best being a general's buckle from the Union army. Cool hmmm...maybe time for more than the beach for me lol

NC has gold in its them their hills and creeks haha my FIL and best friend said her inlaws also said that some of our creeks hold gold so we have a nice creek runs thru our woods and I am thinking about doing some detecting but those darn snakes and more worry me a bit lol

I might call on a club and check into club detecting and see what they do I know I could learn alot but more reports to come in the future lol

I got the Bounty Hunter

middle priced model

didn't buy "the good one" cause I didn't know if I would like it or ever use it more than 2 times lol

if I continue with becoming an addict in treasure hunting, I will be financing a good one LOL
