My grandfather was cutting a sloping field, when his tractor rolled over. Fortunately my GF was only bruised and scared. He stopped mowing that section of the field and planted christmas trees there instead. They are a huge forest now.
Tony called and said he heard that Larry was fixing something on his front bucket and somehow, his head was smashed in. Still sketchy on the whole situation but it was a crush death. Come to find out the whole tractor did not do a rollover---but somehow that front bucket smashed him to death? He was alone when it happened and not discovered until night at the farm when he didn't come home --so....only speculation can happen at this point.
A few weeks ago, someone driving a combine hit the power lines. When his boss went to get him out, he was killed instantly. The guy driving the combine died later on in the hospital. I think he was in his 20s, his boss in his 50s.
We found out today that our neighbor died of a rare but fast acting cancer. It only takes 48 hours to kill ya. Now that is creepy. At least now the family knows, that there was nothing they could have forseen or done about it.
I'll just keep checking in with them and also keep bringing them good food.
