Still can't believe my MIL thinks I'm being a wuss because her friends who have it aren't in much pain. Hogwash! So glad you wrote what you did ... makes me feel a little less alone in the world. Think after I'm done here, I'm gonna ice it down again. Helps it feel better plus makes me feel a little less hot.
On a separate note, Hubby arrived safely to his dad's farm and settled in for the night. First thing this morning, his Uncle took all of FIL's guns and rifles "for safekeeping". Thanks, Uncle Bud. I wonder if Hubby will ever see them again? Let the picking begin (before he even passes away)! Hubby called early this morning, upset about that, but I'm sure it's also seeing his dad so very thin. Emaciated. Hope he at least gets nutrition now that he's in the hospital.
Hubby should be home by evening. And since it's supposed to be another scorcher today (around 100 again), I doubt we'll do any chores besides collecting eggs and watering everyone and everything. So glad we have a well, and that it had rained so much the last few weeks.
My poor little goat baby boy who got banded last night is still in a great deal of pain today. I had to go into the goat pen and pick him up just to make sure he was still alive. Didn't even move when he heard me enter the yard. Wonder if I can give him some aspirin? Wonder how much longer he'll be in pain before he doesn't notice it anymore? I feel so sorry for him.
