I have a friend who is self treating her breast cancer. While she is doing well with the use of MMS, cancer levels dropped to half after starting it, she wishes to make a bindweed tincture to add to her protocol.

She thought she had bindweed then came to find out that it was the wrong variety.

here is what she says: "one I need is also called wild morning glory. It has the trumpet shaped white or light pink flowers. Mine had a long flowering stalk with numerous small yellowish flowers, and had smaller leaves as well.So it's Minnesota, already fall, and I can't locate any wild morning glory near my area. Anyone willing to gather any for me?"

take a look at it:

Does anyone have the common bindweed growing in thier fields? and be willing to send enough to make a tincture? I'm guessing that you will work out some kind of exhange. Please let me know and if there is someone I will direct her to this forum.

That stuff is a noxious pest out here. I will see if there is any in the yard. The ducks ate most of it and I mulch the bajezus out of the rest so I don't know if there is any left.

Well keep your eyes peeled for it. I doubt any neighors would mind if you picked some.

If I still lived in Salt Lake I'd be sending her twenty pounds at least.. our neighbors around the corner just let it take off.

I'm going to keep bumping this post until I find some... I'm trying at the easy garden also.

Half of my garden is covered in Morning Glory. The flowers are purple though. I dug that garden up from field 3 years ago & have never planted Morning Glory seeds so it must be wild. I will try to post a picture later so you can see if it's the right stuff.......

Oh man --- I had something growing out front I got only a quick glance at, and I remember thinking it was probably a type of wild morning glory. I just had everything mowed though. It will probably come back, and it's close to the road so I don't stake the goats that far out so I know it hasn't been eaten.

I'm thinking the flowers didn't look like that though. They were small. I'm ashamed to admit that I don't remember the color -- just the size and shape and my impression that it was a wild morning glory.

Can it be positively identified by a feature other than flowers? How much would be needed? What I CAN do is check the wild field across the road to see if any is there. This was a low-growing plant though and the tall weeds there probably shade it out.

If I don't find itnearby and can't identify it without flowers, I WILL watch and let it rebloom, if it does, and let you know. I won't have daylight while at home to check the field until Saturday, but I will check. Let me know if I can id without flowers

Like Wifezilla saaid, it is a noxious pest here.
What part of the plant do you need - flowers or leaves?
We are in a drought and many weeds are wilted or dead, so don't know what I can find, but I will look when I get home.

I have plenty & I think it's what you're looking for. I think it still has a few blooms. Let me know what you need & I'll start digging.

I saw a little bit across the road and it was the purple-flowered kind. Chances are that's what mine is too. Hopefully OF has the right one then?
