You are in a position to try raw milk since your allergies aren't life threatening. Protein is damaged when pasteurized. Also, most store milk is from Holsteins which have the wrong kind of enzymes and creates stomach issues. Milk from Jerseys has the digestible kind of enzymes. Drink raw milk from Jerseys.
If you don't have any problems (will probably improve drastically) then butter, butter milk, yogurt, and cheese can be made from Jersey cream/milk. This makes a whole new problem; where to get Jersey milk because once you try it, you will be amazed. Then you have to start making all those good things yourself because the government says its bad for you and you may have to find a bootlegger depending upon where you are.
My DH cannot drink milk normally, but he puts away 2 quarts of raw jersey milk a day when at home, and all of his stomach problems (cramps, bloody stools, heartburn) disappear. The city boy whines about all the other critters on the place, but he loves those Jerseys.
