While I was with my mother this week, I went to JoAnn's, Michaels, and a private a knit shop looking for needles for felting. Nothing....

So I guess I'll have to order them online somewhere.
Try get those with the rubbery end, they're much easier to use than the needles that are just bent to hold. when you're felting for a while, the rubery end is much easier to keep a good grip on.

I ordered mine through ebay, can't remember which seller. They're pretty cheap and I like to buy them in big groups (like 20-40) because they can break pretty easily. I also have a holder that holds about 3-4 needles at a time, which is good for doing large flat things. I would like to get a pen-type holder that will hold 1 or 2 for detail work, I just haven't ordered it yet.

I've done okay with the bent pin type ones but I'll upgrade one of these days. I love felting and the more I do it the more I want to do it and my fingers do get tired....
Our local yarn shop just posted on Facebook they've added felting supplies. Wheeeeeeeeee!

Ok, I know this thread is way over, but I'm new and combing through the back issues :)

I love to needlefelt, and this is where I got my first supplies. I know everyone on here is self-sufficient and using their own wool and stuff, but I don't want a sheep, don't want to mess with carding and that stuff, so I order mine from

Decadent Fibers dot com (because I'm new, they won't let me post the URL)

I make mushroom houses, fairy mats, and wall hangings, (because i can't do 3D to save my soul) and she does AWESOME custom colors for me.

My 2 cents worth.
