What kind of piggies are they? AGH ? I think you mentioned those but also 2 sellers?

MY AGHs had lovely personalities. Meat has been excellent and marble lightly. Even tho they are classified as a "lard type" most of that fat was a nice layer and lovely leaf fat....which I rendered. Beautiful white lard! Smaller hog but I found it a nice size for me. At home butchering should be a breeze for those who do it...especially after a big one.

Yep AGH! We process our pigs at smaller sizes anyway, just so much easier for us. They're electric fence trained already so we'll get some of our land opened up for them quickly!

They've been together for a few weeks so we could have piglets in a couple months even. OK by me. They're both proven so that's good! DH is borrowing a trailer from his dad and using pallets to build a pig box.

Then tomorrow we have a ton of goat stuff to do along with getting the pigs settled. CDT, wethering, copper bolus... Busy, busy.

Believe you aid you had some woods...on or by property. I'd run some electric in and for them They will helps with any fox, etc. that are "visiting" . WooHooo.

Mine were just very tame. Of course, a pig is a pig, is a pig! FEM has had same experience. Even at farrowing, tame. Mine were good mom's. Piglets soon is a bonus!

I'm certain you remember the picture rules :hide Of course, they are black. :D

Yes, they are black lol. They're a little thin and shedding their winter coats so not their prettiest day! They're both super friendly though! Love belly rubs.

DH is excited. I'm like.... Why did we get pigs? Lol, I'll get used to it! They're so little, I'm so used to full size hogs! Our friend had a thousand pound boar.... It's a little different!

WOW!! 1/2 ton!! That's a "feed the neighborhood" hog.

YES, belly rubs!! You will learn to love these guys personality.
Not like the hated one you last butchered.

Mine would talk to me the entire time. LOL I kinda miss them but, not a bunch. It's more to care for and buy feed. Want to cut back on the buy part.

Yeah Frankie was huge, and pretty friendly. But he realized he could relocate the fence so he got shipped!

Piggies will get some whey in the morning!
