If this raccoon was rabid, it was recently infected. It had a lovely coat and was chunky, and bolted as soon as it saw the dogs. DH tried to track it down but he couldn't find it.

DH starts next week part time, which will likely morph into full time very shortly. Decent hourly wage, to be discussed at 3 months, and FREE insurance. They're working on getting him a work truck. Yay! He shouldn't have to make snow this year!

I still have a sore throat, it's odd. No other cold symptoms. I'm actually concerned about mold, going to get a test kit this weekend to start. I feel generally less well when I'm home, and it's been raining, damp and dark so much it just seems like it's worth checking into.

Baby is in the fun stage of oh look, I can drop this and miracle workers pick it up for me. Oh look, there it goes again... and again.... and again ... I need a nap. Lol

I'm actually not a baby person. I am a toddler person, even with the crazy meltdowns. I like when they can walk and talk. When DD1 turned a year old it was like a light switch for me, lol. Don't get me wrong , I love my babies but only because they're mine! DD2 is also in an "I don't wanna go to sleep" phase, I'm very tired!

DH and I are reporting some acquaintances (relatives of a friend) for animal neglect . Ought to be a fun time . They have security cameras and lots of guns, as well as drinking problems. It's a little sketchy if they figure out it was us. Not looking forward to the potential fallout, we have 2 (out of like 7) officers we trust in this town so we tracked one down and will be giving him an anonymous (on paper) statement. I wish I could just take some of the animals. I hate this crap, they're the people that give farmers a bad name.

I like most little people from birth until they get to Jr. High, lol! Then I like 'em again when they turn about 35! (But, I do work with some high school kids that are pretty awesome.)

It's hard when you have to turn in people you know...some folks just shouldn't own animals. Hope it works out well for the critters and doesn't come back on you. But, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.

It is hard to turn people you know for animal abuse, more so if they are paranoid drunken morons with guns. I'd stay anonymous too.
