I really love boers. And if he'd let me breed to his other boer buck we'd have quite meaty kids.... we'll see.

DH starts his new job tomorrow. Today we need to borrow the neighbor's tractor to move the big coop, clean it out and rearrange chickens. We'll put most of them in the big side and we'll have the three misfits (the 2 polish and a Dominique with a cross beak) in the little side. They're getting horribly beat on. Chickens are so mean!

They're just awful creatures! One of the polishes is missing half the feathers on her head. She's now got a blue head, lol. Blue Kote is like the best invention ever lol!

I slaughtered all my Delawares because they killed Elsa, my beautiful white EE hen that the kids could pick up and carry around. I will never have Delawares again. She wasn't the only one they killed, but it was their last time. Hope your Polish heals up!

It's both of the polishes now, started as just one. Dominiques aren't typically like that, but everything likes to beat up polishes. Plus the cockerels are starting to think they're special so they probably need to be split up (and eventually eaten, minus one).

DH starts his new job tomorrow. And should find out about the tractor tomorrow as well!
