OH - please let us know how the okra does! I grew some red okra one year, but wasn't real pleased with it. It got too hard too fast. I usually just go for good ol' Clemson Spineless.... I'm growing Cherokee purple tomatoes - hope they make. I've eaten a few of them, and they are sooo good!

I'm starting to think about looking up that supplier to see if they'd ship seeds to me lol Those varieties sound awesome. My DS is fascinated with the "odd" coloured vegetables and who knows, it might get him more interested in eating more of the stuff!

It will have to wait until I move though, there simply isn't enough space here for chickens and a few veggies, unless I do containers again.

I got black tomatoes too.. And some striped ones.... It really is fantastic. I also use Fedco for most of my traditional stuff. They're in Maine and I feel like I'm supporting locals, plus they know what grows here.

Special turkey picked his head up and looked at me today! Maybe he/she will be sorted out. Definitely eating well.

Black tomatoes? o_O The striped ones sound cool though!

Yay for the turkey! I hope the little one is sorted out now. Any more hatches, or hatching?

Strange looking things, but yes, I guess they do look good! Are they black all the way through I wonder?

Looks like we may be done with turkeys hatching. One was trying but I think it died, it didn't try for too long. I'll leave the incubator going until maybe Monday. So looks like only 3. Not great but we did have the power outage and humidity control issues. Hope the mama turkey gives us some more!

My broody hen appears to have quit. Or she's just bad at being broody. I keep seeing her out with the others. I have to go get eggs in a few minutes so I'll see what I find!

Well, 3 turkeys poults are better than no turkey poults! Maybe the turkey hen will come through for ya....and the broody hen. I've got 'em all over the place but something keeps getting their eggs. I think I've got an egg eatin' chicken out there. I swear when I find her, she won't be eating any eggs any more....grrrrrr!
