It did! Well, the worst of it. We got 1/2" of rain and heard thunder go right around us!

Woohoo!! Hope ours goes around for the next week or so! I do NOT need any more mud. I had to use about a zillion wipes to get Cocoa's udder cleaned before I could milk her. Short legs and an abundant udder combined with all the rain we've had lately - does not make for a clean goat when it's time to milk. UGH!

It's surprisingly not muddy here, except next to the stream and in the pig area.

Not much exciting today... Had ribs, coleslaw and homemade bread tonight. I am so full it's ridiculous. Needed to eat some packages of large things in the freezer to make room for the ones going in there, so I suffered and made ribs! Lol they were delicious!

I haven't been sleeping well at night so I am tired and unmotivated right now! I should so some more planting tomorrow, and scope out my fencing situation because I need to get a fence up for the buckling soon...

Ribs ARE exciting! We took a co-worker out for her birthday lunch today. Of course, she picked Italian which is always high carb...but I felt obligated to scarf down my portion, lol. AND, a piece of chocolate truffle cake that was so big and decadent that the three of us hardly made a dent in it! YUM!

Yum is right! We had pork chops last night, ribs tonight... Probably will have ground pork burgers with the leftover coleslaw tomorrow night... Lots of pork... I need to go shopping so until then we're eating what I find lol.

Italian is delicious but seriously I think my stomach has shrunk because I can't eat much of a carb heavy meal before I am stuffed. Cchocolate cake though.... Always room for that!

I heard someone talking about chocolate cake?[

:droolI need the recipe for that one - it was six layers high and had chocolate ganache between the layers and chocolate buttercream icing... holy cow! Or was it the other way around?? I dunno - I just know we tried our best and we barely dented it.:drool
