Ah yes, I survived and I'm good! Thanks! The anxiety ahead of time is always worse than the actual procedure. For me anyway. My husband is practically immune to novocaine so he usually has to yell at the dentist to give him more ( they never believe him...)

It's 49 and raining... Supposed to get an inch of rain today. Forecast says 86, sunny and humid by next Monday so this'll be a fun adjustment...

At least DH set up a second outdoor brooder so we finally don't have chickens in the house. DD thinks it smells much better in here. I cleaned it every day, geeze kid!

Still raining.... Sigh.

Yeah... It wasn't fun and I hope to never do it again!

Mama hen is doing a great job with those babies! Even with the cruddy weather.

How long were they in the house?

I have second batch of hatchlings in the basement. We'll put them in the barn in a few days.

The chicks are 5 weeks old (turkeys who live with them are 6 weeks), but they were only in the house full time for maybe 2 weeks, then they went out during the days and in at night. The others have been outside full time for maybe 2 weeks but these two had to be separated so they were still in at night and cold days.

That was a long winded answer, lol.

Gorgeous day today! Hardly got anything done though, oops. Tomorrow is going to be hot but I NEED to do some more planting.

My mom got me a huge pile of school stuff for future homeschooling. She works at a public school and got some extra workbooks, discarded reading books, etc. Most of which was 2nd grade because she worked in 2nd grade this year. Also she printed off a bunch of kindergarten work, which we'll be starting in the fall. Yay!
