I need a full walls worth of those :)

Actually, this is along the lines of what some are doing.
If there is a blank interior wall in the pantry or kitchen, rip off the sheet rock, and install shelving and then adding nice trim and cupboard doors.
I have a friend that did this and it worked out great for her insanely small kitchen. They built it on the wall that the door swinged open against. Does that make sense?

But if you were renting, you might not be able to do that.

Who is the official owner of the panties now, anyway. I had them briefly with the leaf lard thread.

Hey all. I did that thing with the shelves in between the studs in the kitchen wall back in my incarnation as "Earth Mother" in the 70's. It got lots of comments; it was behind the kitchen door so people didn't see it till they were leaving, usually. Did look very pretty and homey, with bright pint jars of pickled okra, peaches, tomatoes, etc. (One more area to dust, tho!)

Haha, I still want one of those! Wouldn't be right in my dining room tho, and no wall space in my kitchen at all.

I love open kitchen shelves too, but I can't have that either.

I did build one in my garage though ... just not IN the wall.

(Oh, and I meant the simpler kind, not the one this thread was originally about, LOL) That one's nice too though. I WOULD like to put one of those in my dining room, with a hutch on top. Maybe I'll build one someday. :)
