WOW a stupid 5 inches of snow, most is melted already AND THEY called off school for tomorrow.....the whole week off. Can you believe that? I've been on the roads, they are clear that I can see, but one side road with 1 baby strip of ice and BOOM...school closed lol

Up North I went to school in 3 ft. of snow lol it took a total white out blizzard to cancel school up there, but down here...insanity truly LOL

They had Martin Luther off on Monday---BUT they have to go now to make up one of the snow days

WA HOO WA HOO

I am ripping out my hair by the roots by now LOL

Uh, three NE OH counties were under lake effect snow warnings and no schools cancelled. They've exhausted their allotment of calamity days, any more will force them to cut into Spring Break and/or extend the school year.

Do you all not have extra days built into the school year?!?! we have 15 "Snow Days" built in that the kids can miss and not have to make up any.

We have "3" !!!! (thanks to the outgoing governor, the incoming governor is extending it to "5". We have these stupid "in service" days that are supposed to be used. DW's step-dad retired after 20 years teaching and he can't explain how it works......

YEESH! That's INSANE! We start with 15 every year. Sometimes the AC units will go out at the beginning of school(August heat), or we have flooding on backroads, or snow.....and we can keep our kids safe at HOME until the whatever passes. I think that is the diff between Southern state schools and Northern state schools...we allow SO many more days that are available.

We had about 3" of snow on Monday. This is in Colorado mind you. I drove the kids to school and the lot was empty. I guess next time I'll call to check. We didn't even have any drifts on the road.
