Nonsense!!! Enjoy winter while it is here!!! I just wish we hd a snowmachine, but , we have quads with studs on the tires. Weeeeee!!!!

when I lived in PA and got my horse, his shoes had studs or he would kill himself on the ice and snow :lol: cost more money :plbb bummer :lol:

My horses are barefoot and have awesome traction. Dd's been putting alot of miles on them this winter, but me I can't wear my snowsuit on horseback, so I prefer the quad. :D In the winter, that is....

I can just picture it....do you have that white cameo suit that the military has for snow operations. I bet you blend in and disappear in the snowbank :lol:


the pasture he was in when boarded was straight down hill....steep.
without studs he was a goner. PA pastures are up and down the mountain side sometimes :p

Misty has always been barefoot, even when she lived in PA. I haven't been riding all winter. It's not so much the snow as it is that I need to trailer her to ride, and I'm still having trouble w/my truck.
