Smoking that is. At 6am today, I smoked my last cigarette. It tasted like licking an ashtray, which is a good sign. If I can keep that taste in the back of my mind, I will beat this easy. I've already cut waaay back, from a pack and a half to half a pack daily. I have no cash, and I'm not going to carry enough to buy a pack. DH is willing to fill my car with gas in the evenings, so I don't have the tempation with the checkbook. I've got my gum (Yes, I know a crutch) I've got my carrot sticks, I've got my jar of nasty ciggie water for shock therapy. I'm putting them down! *hack-hack*

The dance of the scobys - The "mother" scoby I put in my jar of tea sank to the bottom when I poured the starter tea in it. Then it grew threads, which attached themselves to the scoby growing at the top. Now its sort of floating in the middle of the jar, occassionally doing a little twirl. At least thats the way it looks. It's cool watching the scoby grow on top.

Picking up lumber this weekend to start on the rabbit hutch. Guy in town who raises rabbits is getting rid of some of his stock instead of canning them, so I have to get moving now that it is sunny & my yard is getting semi-dry.

My pressure cooker came in :celebrate so I'll be canning meatloaf this weekend at night, probably after everyone else goes to sleep so I can play a video game while it's cooking, heheheh.

Thank you ladies!
This is the 30th? time I've quit, once for over a year. I'm at my most confident this time though. I really think THIS is it.

Trying to keep my fingers busy :)

I quit Jan 20, 1978, the day I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. It took something more imporant than me to make it happen.

My niece quit two and one half years ago, and still wants to smoke on occasion, but she doesn't and we are SO proud of her !

I almost wrecked my car when I passed an advertisement that said 3 packs for like $17.00. I couldn't believe how expensive they are!!!

When I was in highschool and tried smoking once I think the pack I bought was $1.11.

Congradulations on your achievement Noobie!!! :woot
