:ep Yikes!!!!! Glad you are safe!!!

I missed sharing your triumph yesterday (caught up in my own drama and quite self-centered for a day or so! ) in milking all by yourself, and in getting so much! And that sudden realization that all that work is finally paying off, and in some ways, it is getting easier and enjoyable. Woohoo! You go, girl!!!

NCL,..on our local 11:00 news they just showed the damages in Yazoo City and surrounding areas. It looks to have been real bad,...words can't describe the tragedy those poor folks are facing. We will keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Be careful if you find your way there to help.

Sheesh, I know how you feel. The tornado sirens went off here, but it never did anything but rain buckets. We lost almost everything to one and now I can really feel for the people who are going through the same thing. I still feel a slight panic coming on when they say there is a possibility of one in our area, and for a long time I cried everytime I heard a story about those who live through a tornado. The kids and I missed certain death by only a few minutes, literally. We was gone a total of about 15 minutes and when I returned home our mobile home frame was WRAPPED in a U around an oak tree and we never found some parts of it. My dh was trying to get to us and was driving through the storm pulling debris out of the highway with his '78 chevy while the wind was blowing so hard that while he was out of the truck moving stuff by hand it blew the front of his truck sideways enough that his headlights were pointed into the ditch when he got back in.

Tornados are definitely scary. We get quite a few warnings and watches every year here even. The closest one happened last year and was, thankfully, several miles away. Close enough to scare the boogers out of me. What scares me the most is that we don't have anywhere I'd feel truly safe stashing my kids in. Our only options are in the crawl space with the black widows or in my closet. The closet has poorly designed as a closet but it does offer some protection as it has 3 1/2 ft by 2 1/2 foot space that we really can't figure out what to do with as there is no easy access to it.

Noobie, glad you are ok. Amazingly we got very little weather here. It all passed just a few miles to the north of us. Watching all the news coverage and keeping track of where all the storms were I thought about you. Glad you are safe.
Your adventure into SS is making great progress. :thumbsup
