I hope your kitty comes back. My daughter's cat was missing for a MONTH and then returned. We were quite surprised. She didn't want to leave the house again for about a year. Seriously.

I've had two kitties not come back since I lived at this house. :hit

I'm sending out my best "kitty come home" vibes......

Thanks to lots of friends who sent out words, prayers, supplications and come home kitteh vibes, my cat came home this morning.
That just made my day :D
I gave the big guy a raw egg & some diced chicken in his cat food this morning. He couldn't decide whether he wanted to eat or get lovin, so he paced back & forth between me and his food bowl. :D

And yesterday, I was out late helping a good friend purge for a moving sale. She's going from the great state of Mississippi to Tombstone, AZ and is trying to dump everything she can.

I got a pressure canner (22 qt Mirror) 8 wide mouth quart canning jars with new lids, a suction bottom hand crank veggie slicer/dicer/chipper thingie, a few veggie plants, several glass jars with lids, a few shirts, a bunch of flowy dresses for a preggo friend, 3 gallons of vinegar and some candles. She's also going to give us all the food that is left in the freezer when she leaves, mostly veggies from the farmer's market woohoo!

We managed to clear her kitchen, bathroom and 2 closets, move all the stuff she's keeping out of the selling area and box up a bunch of stuff.

So glad your kitty made it home!

And, nice score on the canning supplies etc. AND helping your friend out at the same time :)

The cat came back.......

what song was that where the line was, "the cat came back, the very next day?" I have that stuck in my head after reading that but I can't remember the song.

Oh no! What a horrible song to remember! I'm batting 1,000 today.

Although perhaps it would be fun to filk that song when my brain isn't so foggy.

That song always disturbed me. I kept asking why the cat returned to such an abusive home and they just said "it's just a song!" and I got very upset because NOTHING is "just".

That must be where I learned it. PETA would never approve........I'm not sure I do either.

It is about as inappropriate for little girls as that Froggy Went A Courtin' song we used to sing.

But both are funny and I'm sure the kids realize that it is a joke.

I sang the chorus to that song over and over and over and over the week he was gone.
It IS a rather twisted song though...
Catsumodo celebrated his homecoming by killing and eating THREE mice. I wonder if they were blind...? :D
