More. They hop onto one's knee, being used to pestering and inflicting painful skin wounds to get their way. :p

Today has been an okay day for me, still going against the nasty known more commonly as the past.

I'm very glad it's now the weekend, a long weekend at that. There are several different sections of my life (I can't decide which is causing me the most grief at the moment) and at least for three days work will be removed from the equation. :ya

Well, I got my copy of Little house in the suburbs in the mail today (I have a picture in there, so they sent me a free copy) and it's darn funny!! I recommend you guys read that book, it's perfect for a site like this. Chickens, plants, bees, goast, homemade products.

I really dislike my family, and they would rather I moved continent, I have a sneaking suspicion. I have no idea what to do about it, we just can't seem to be in the same town and not end up shooting daggers at each other. I am sick of it. The only reason I still am in contact with them is because I'm struggling for money. I need a better job, and will have substantial loans to pay off.

At war with myself and my failing interactions with the stock market. I think I am destined to be a hermit, bankrupt, alone, and watching big bang theory reruns in my lounge.

Boo on the family issues. I sometimes struggle with my family, and I wish it weren't that way. Family is so much harder to live with... its a lot harder to just ditch them! :p

Yep. I've fed them all manner of things at various people's suggestions, but eventually gave up anyhow. The man at the feed store reckons, "it must be a dodgy chicken". I think I'm starting to agree. :p

You're in luck, Philadelphia is one of the only places in the USA I know the vague positioning of.
I'm not really one for history, I gave up trying to memorise dates and places back in school, so I prefer somewhere like Sydney to the memorials of Canberra.
Wet your feed and put the OS right in there...they will eat it. When my shells are consistently thin and I'm offering free choice, I know it's time for a little push in that area...it always works. They eat every scrap and the OS along with it. Works like a charm. :D

:welcome

It's rough when you don't get along w/your family. I try, but there are those in my family that I'd just as soon not have to deal with. :/

Beekissed - thanks. But I've given up on the chicken now, it's nearing the end of its egg-laying years now, so we're getting ready to replace with a couple of younger ones. :)

As for the family, the wall is still there, and seems to be growing as we speak (or as we don't speak)

I have to say I can't wait till I can get a bit more space, till I have a better job and a place in university.
