Next recipe is an experimental Blonde Ale. Brewed in accordance with the German purity law (water, grains, hops, yeast), so naturally, it's natural. Or, since it will be fermented with Nottingham yeast, it could also be called Notty Blonde Ale.

That's a good to know. I hope you know how to do an India Pale Ale (IPA), I always want to make my own. I hope you can help me.

IPA's scare me... I never once liked one I've tried, they are WAY to hoppy for my liking. My son was telling me about "Juicy IPAs" and how they are all the rage now, with bits of hops floating around in the beer. Juicy IPA, sounds absolutely disgusting. But I'll look for a recipe for you to try.

Racked for secondary fermention. Gravity at 1.006 or nice and dry ~5.1% ABV. Calories 146 per 12oz bottle

Completed secondary ferment.

Yielded 1 - 5 gallon corny keg and 1 - 1/2 gallon growler. I will cold crash and carbonate the keg. I added 1/2 ounce of table sugar to the growler, so it will naturally carbonate and will finish about 5.6% ABV in 2 weeks.

Nice clarity and color, good flavor and arroma. Easy drinker for sure. Could be considered a gateway drug for non-beer lovers

non-beer lovers, that's me.

It has some really tasty grains and Cara Pilsner / dextrin for residue sweetness. However the magic happens with the hop additions. Centennial for bittering, then Centennial & Cascade for flavor, finished up with Cascade for arroma. It's like waving a magic wand over top of the kettle.

I mentioned above that I bottle primed a 1/2 gallon grower with .5 ounces of table sugar, for my daughter in law. She followed directions and left it on the counter for 14 days. The 15tglh day (today) she sent me txt.

It's a good beer no doubt, and most definitely has a citrus flavor, I would called it mild grapefruit and maybe a tad of tangerine flavor. My daughter in law said it's like drinking liquid sunshine. I have to agree, going to be a great work in the garden beer.
