Bwaa haa haa. Gotta love a random Serenity referenceI cried over the first 3 bunnies I did. Like a baby. A hungry, angry baby.
You know, that is a good idea. Not cheesy at all!I know this is cheesy, but when I have to cull/butcher something I repeat a line from Clan of the Cave Bear. "When you return to the Mother, thank her for me." Like I said, cheesy, but it helps.
Losing all that good fat is a shame, but my time is so limited right now I just can't spend the extra time plucking. I had to pick up my son and go back in to work shortly after I started the post.but seriously--your gonna skin it? NOooooooo!!!
you don't really have to pluck them though. Once you dip and swish in the hot water, 99.9% of the featehrs just wipe right off. You willneed to pluck a few of the stubborn feathers on the wing tips and tail, but, as long as your ducks are not moulting, they should be easy to 'pluck'.Wifezilla said:I've heard the hot water (with a little dish soap) will loosen the feathers enough so it is only as hard to pluck as a chicken. Without the hot soapy dip, they are way hard to pluck.
