Seriously, that seems to be the limitation of a democracy. Yes, you have to listen to constituents if you want to get reelected, but to actually get any hard work done.... Sometimes I long for a really wise autocrat who thinks just the way I do. Then, I give myself a good shake and remember all the benefits of democracy.Big Daddy said:In their efforts to craft a bill that would satisfy both sides I'm afraid they will satisfy none.
HERE HERE!!!!!!!!VT-Chicklit said:Here are some articles regarding allowing the purchase of Health Insurance across state lines, which we are not allowed to do at this time. That is something that would promote true and fair competition, unlike attempting to compete with the government who does not have to turn a profit inorder to survive and who has unlimited funds (our tax money) with which to fund the endevor. If we are not careful, there will come a time in the not too distant future when the Government Option will be the only option.

I only read the first article. I thought he addressed this directly in his speech, but I could be remembering wrong. Maybe I'm thinking of a debate with my spouse. This seems like a good idea. I would be interested in why it is not currently allowed, as I'm sure I could be missing something from the other side.VT-Chicklit said:Here are some articles regarding allowing the purchase of Health Insurance across state lines, which we are not allowed to do at this time.
