If you're still up, here's another one for ya....I stuck my hand under Ginger for her daily udder-rub to prepare her for milking and motherhood....been doing this since I got her at five weeks old. She now squats nicely and gets dreamy-eyed. A good sign.
Today....she had....titties! Due to kid April 24. Starting early!
Free - thats just like the day Little Nibbles got her boobies.... hee hee hee
Dace - you're still in the hopper for saying "scrotie".... sheeesh! hee hee hee hee hee ok you win the Beavis and Butthead award for the day. hee hee he
but in the upside....it was sunny and fabulous. and we both need ice cream so we are headed into town in a bit.
the fun news is that the little goaties...the 'skip poppers' as i'm calling them... are a HOOT! today they learned how to run which is entirely cute. and while i was milking debbie out this morning they both were trying to climb up on me and were bonking me. how many ways can you say cute? i dont know but i'm tryin. i've been carrying around both Ginger and Gilligan so they get their snuggles in... but dont worry, i'm not getting soft on them.
i keep looking at them, and how interactive they are, and keep wondering about this whole dam-raised vs bottle raised thing. aside from the CAE... i just dont get the "bottle raised are more personable" argument. for heavens sakes if they were any MORE personable they'd be in here watching tv with us. so everything is going well with them.
the D- is because we got a late start, i fell and landed on Lucky - who, unlike Ti, cried and ran. Ti came over and helped me up. btw, you gotta give it to a dog who knows the command "help momma up".... thats one good dog.
Little Nibbles continues to give us cause for concern.. maybe she is a drama queen but we are watching her closely. the neighbor kids think that she has 3 babies and we are afraid she will deliver early...and we still have 20 days to go
and we dressed some ducks today and it didnt go as smoothly as we would have liked. lets just say there are feathers EVERYWHERE...and the chickens didnt help one hoot.
but golly.. those geese were extremely quiet all day. The Big Man kept hollarin' at them: "hey OD why dont you come on up here and lay your little head right here"
