I'm NOT laughing! I remember all too well on why I don't like goats... sheesh I needed this to remind me that "no, I don't want goats!"

If it makes you feel any better OFG, they all laughed at me when I posted my goat sagas, too. Except, mine were along the lines of me running from a 250# boer buck, and wanting to slaughter Mama goat who didn't respect fences.
Oh crap! I was thinking about getting goats,....maybe not,...:hu

 I'm thinking it's a good thing you don't have children of the human kind. I haven't gotten a good night of sleep in 10+ years due to a firstborn who has some other-worldly ability to not need sleep. :hit Sigh, people wonder why I'm grumpy so often...:hide
Your 2 nights of animal troubles do not get pity from me :gig
Hope your day goes better with drama queen Debbi. Drink some coffee for me since I just gave up caffeine. :caf

Well! Now I know why Gary keeps saying NO everytime I mention goats! "NO, Karen, they're not cute", "NO, Karen, we don't have room", "NO, Karen, there's not a fence around here that would keep in a goat!"

You need to get some earplugs so you can sleep! And maybe one of those satiny things to wear over your eyes.

And, did you remember to wear your muddy farm boots to walmart?
That'll get you some respect every time!

I feel your pain. While I don't have goats, I have barking dogs, Jahovah's Witnesses, magazine sellers, candy drive kids, the train, the air force academy, fort carson's artillery range, and the ducks to make sure I don't sleep too much. And 3 cats to check on me if I decide to try and take a nap. :p

"Mommy, this is OUR bed during the day. Why are you in our bed? Aren't you supposed to be out earning munies so we can have more cat toys?"
:gig

As for the cream issue, our local Walmart has stopped carrying a lot of the brands. They no longer have a single carton of cream that has not been ultra-pasteurized. I have resorted to special ordering cream from Vitamin Cottage.

I am sorry for your pain.....although your pain is somehow very entertaining to us all :gig

I hope you caught up on your sleep and I am glad to hear Debbie is fine.

Maybe today all the animals will be more cooperative!

Welcome to the wonderful world of livestock! Doesn't matter if it is a goat, a cow, an alpaca or a sheep!

By the way, if there is a dystocia and you have to go in, your arm will be up a cow's butt to your shoulder and you will be lucky to be able to reach that calf. At least with a goat (regular size dairy goat) it is only probably up to your elbow. :gig

I never had to take care of a cow but I saw it done several times at OSU. Not a pretty sight. The vets look like they are going to be sucked in when they are in to their shoulder.

I'm glad Debbie is fine. I wonder if she just had some type of stomach ache or a baby was pressing on a nerve or something.
