There are so many title options....Crazy Goat Lady (Free?), Crazy Chicken Lady (Quail), Crazy Cat Lady (OFG), Crazy Flip Flop Lady (Noobie?) I think in general, we are just a Crazy bunch! Ain't it great?!

a few years back we were given a wethered goat... well, given in the way you are given things that are tied to your front fence and left for you to find. we named him William P Goat, Esq. and kept him around because he was sweet and would eat the poison ivy. when Billy wasn't working the fence rows, we kept him in a pen out back with a dog house in it for him to sleep in. he would often stand on top of the dog house and survey his territory. what we never thought about is that the backyard is what you can see from the road...

anyway, one afternoon a tree fell across the road and some guy smashed his car into it. he came up to the house to call his buddy to come pick him up. he says to his friend "i'm down at that place in the curve. you know, the one with the goat on a dog house?" and of course, the guy knew exactly where to come.

that was it. we were those people. the goat had to get moved. it all worked out well for Billy because he got a swanky new pad in the front yard, which meant he got to spend a lot more time with my mother, with whom he was madly, desperately in love. (this is why we had to get rid of him eventually. he would get himself into all kinds of mischief trying to be near my mother. he once almost died after he accidentally hung himself by his collar from a tree limb trying to get INTO my parents bedroom window... he went to live with a nice man down the road after that.)

The people with all those dogs. The people with the Buick in the driveway.
These days we're the people with all those birds OR in autumn, the people who blow leaves off their front lawn with a home built hovercraft.
Yup, we're the nuts of the neighborhood. But only after The Guy Who Almost Shot His Face Off With a Canon On Christmas Morning passed away. We were in second place until he died of a heart attack a few years ago.

I have no idea what the neighborhood calls us. I really don't want to know. We are getting our ducks this week. Taking over the neighborhood one small species at a time *insert evil laugh here*

I convinced my chiro to come over to the dark side last night! We were chatting about what was new, I told him about our ducks - which led to talking about chickens, and then he said he'd really like to get goats someday. I told him to start with the chickens because they are easy and after 5 minutes of chat, he said he was going to talk to his wife about it. I think I love him. Don't tell my hubby
