the funniest was that we were standing there looking at the carnage and just then we had a low flying helicopter go over the scene of the crime. we were sure we'd be on the news..... but the sheriff never showed up so we thanked our lucky stars.
anyway
nah - not me. i'm not the hero nor the teacher i'm just being swept along for the ride.
i keep telling Bourbon Red that he oughta teach this stuff. but just like most of us he's got plenty of work to do.
and really Dog#1 was the hero. he didn't even flinch at the shootin', the thrashing, nor the carnage - and he never left my side. no barking, he didnt go wild over the blood, he stayed in position... wow. thats one good dog. i cant wait for Kai to be that big. she and he are gonna be a force to be reckoned with, for sure.
the neighbor said he saw another fox... she wont last long. my war axe AND two war hounds??? that foxy brown is just bidin' her time....
;-)
Taking on two big pigs in one day! Wow!! Very impressive!
You sound the way SO and I were when we did our deer earlier this year. We were both familiar with doing fowl, but doing in the deer was a whole 'nother story.
LOL So glad the evil pigs have been turned in to proper meat. After your story I will continue to just cut a check to the farmer down the road for farm raised pork and promise never ever ever to complain about his prices.
we have this crazy storm coming in - its so weird we arent even going to church b/c the sleet has started in some places. later on today we'll get a pounding but for now we are teetering on the freezing mark and the rain is still coming down.
but thats ok b/c we have all this lovely pork to cut up. i'm about ready to go out and get a half a pork and bring it in the house.
last nite for dinner i thought of you, WZilla, i had....
a plate of meat
and a glass of red wine - hows THAT for low carb?
(actually i dont know if the wine is or not but i laughed anyway)
our new joke here is "hey did you feed the pigs?" and then we laugh laugh laugh... we think we are hilarious.
We have an inch on the ground as of 10:15! It's coming down fast and furious. DH went to church but it's only a mile away. I'm counting on the kids not having school tomorrow.
