I have been craving donuts too. We are tired of cookies here. Guess I made enough of them. I am going to have to find that deep fat fryer and get some lard (without preservatives).

hmmmmm, donuts. Guess who got a nice-sized deep fryer for Christmas. I got a small one for the DW last Christmas, and as I opened this new one, she laughed and said the old one wasn't big enough.

I usually make the cinnamon/brown sugar "balls" from the the old Pillsbury cookbook. The snow is still coming down here in OH today, maybe I should fire up the new fryer...........

and dang - was it cold or WHAT this morning? seriously.. that was nuts. our snow passed over us now its just cold and sunny.

i gotta tell ya i'm kinda excited about the rain thats coming over the weekend. i need to shovel out the hen house and a snowless day will be the ticket. whoot!

We are still getting some flurries here and there. The wind died down a little but it sure is making it cold. We didn't get a lot of snow but it sure drifted. Naturally our drifts go over our walkways so there is no way we can get away with not shoveling/snowblowing.

Come on! I just made a "Reuben Meatloaf" to put in the oven in a little bit, so it's ready when the DW gets home, there's plenty! (I will not post the recipe until I decide if we like it or not)

The snow is horizontal right now as I look out one of the front windows. If rain is coming, that's good, I need to get some more firewood in the garage and right now the woodpile is covered.

On the current weather map, we are near the center of one small blob of a snow band.

I really feel for you guys. We are having.......light rain as usual. We did have some rain/snow mix last night but all the snow is saving itself up for the more eastern parts of the country it seems.
